Project Monitoring

a)        Project Review and Steering Group:

          DlT will set up a Project Review and Steering Group (PRSG) to :

I. Regularly monitor and steer the implementation of the project.

II. Recommend follow-up action on issues raised / problems faced by Resource Centres/ Participating Institutes and other agencies involved in the implementation of the project.

III. Recommend re-appropriation of funds among different heads of the project as per extant rules.

IV. Review of the Information Security Curriculum.

V. Identify institutes with performance below par and new institutes where these courses could be organized.

The PRSG will meet at least once in six months. The Resource Centre/ Participating Institute will submit the Six-Monthly Financial & Technical Progress Report.

b)    National Steering Committee on Information Security Education and Awareness:

DIT will set up a National Steering Committee on Information Security Education and Awareness. The National Steering Committee will:

I.   Carryout the Mid-Term Review of the Project.

II. Provide overall guidance to the Information Security Education and Awareness initiatives in the country.

III.    Amend / revise scope of the project.

IV.    Take up any other issue as felt appropriate by the National Steering Committee in relation to this programme.

The National Steering Committee will meet once in a year.

c)    Appoint Chief Investigator And Co-Chief Investigator

To ensure the successful implementation of the project, the Resource Centre/ Participating Institute will appoint a Chief Investigator and a Co-Chief Investigator for the Project. The Chief Investigator will

 have the overall responsibility of the implementation of the Project in the Resource Centre/ Participating Institute. During the period the Chief Investigator is not available, the Co-Chief Investigator will

 perform the duties of the Chief Investigator. The Chief and Co-Chief Investigator of the project will not be changed as far as possible during the course of the Project
