Train System Administrators by offering Diploma Course in Information Security, Certificate Course in Information Security, 6-weeks/2-weeks training programme in Information Security.
Train Government Officers of Center and State on Information Security issues.
Awareness Programme: Under this activity, Information Security information will be widely propagated in a planned manner
Education Exchange Programme
Introduction of Information Security Curriculum at M.Tech & B.Tech level and Research Activity/PhD
Under this activity the following will be initiated:
I. M.Tech in Information Security / M.Tech in Computer Science with Specialisation in Information Security a 4-semseter programme
II. Retrofitting ofInformation Security Curriculum in existing B.Tech / B.E. and M.Tech / M.E. courses in Electrical/Electronics / Communications / Computers etc.
III. Research Programme leading to PhD.

I. Diploma Course in Information Security-Two-Semester Course
II. Certificate Course in Information Security-One-Semester Course
III. 6-weeks training programme in Information Security
IV. 2-week training program in Information Security
Train Government Officers-Central and State, on Information Security issues
Under this activity, one-week duration training programmes, covering different aspects of Information
Security, will be conducted for the officers of Central and State Government
Awareness Programme: Under this activity, Information Security information will be widely
propagated in a planned manner
Under this activity, Information Security issues will be widely propagated In a planned manner. This activity will be two fold and will involve:
I. Industry Educational Institutions Awareness Programme on Information Security
a. Organising conferences for industry /educational Institutions.
b. Organising workshops for working level executives from industry & faculty
form academic institutions.
c. Dipstick analysis / status report etc.
II. Mass Awareness Programme on Information Security:
a. Organise discussions / talks on TV / Radio.
b. Publish articles etc. in leading newspapers, magazines, journals etc.
c. Develop CDs - Audio & Video.
Education Exchange Programme
Educational Exchange Programme will comprise the following activities under the project:
I. Training scientists / engineers / officers of DIT, including those of Societies and attached offices of DIT, and from other Ministries / Departments as Master Trainers at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA.
II. Invite Experts from other countries as well as experts from Universities / Industries/ Govt. organisations within India to give lectures in select institutions.
III. Bilateral Cooperation - with institutes like The French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (INRIA), France etc.
IV. Faculty of Academic Institutions, Experts and other Professionals working
in the area of Information Security to be sponsored for Presenting Papers,
attending - Conferences, Short-term courses, tutorials etc. both at the
National as well as International level.
Other activities:
a) Setting up of Information Security Labs at RCs/PIs
b) Conducting Faculty Training Programmes
c) Learning Material Development on specified topics.
d) Organising International Conferences
e) Accreditation of Courses
