Certificate Course in Information Security should be a full time 1-semester course. The objective of the course is to develop the skill sets in the following areas:
- Securing the Windows and Linux OS based systems and networks by breaking into it.
- Configuring secured network infrastructure including Internetworking devices
- Deployment of various security technologies and tools to mitigate vulnerabilities and possible attacks
Pre-requisite for the course
Graduate in engineering with significant background in software or diploma in computers. The participant should be preferably working in IT industry.
Course Modules
The course will have the following modules:
- Computer Fundamentals and Computer Networks - 2 weeks
- Operating Systems Administration - 2 weeks
- Information Security Concept - 2 weeks
- Securing the Systems - 2 weeks
- Network Perimeter Security - 2 weeks
- Security Standards, Auditing & Best Practices - 2 weeks
- Project - 4 weeks
